Stunning Opening Night

We are delighted - over 200 invited guests came to Zöfling near Tulln on May 28, 2026, to celebrate the opening of the Kramer Werkhalle with us.

The summer afternoon kept its promise: warm light, the nature of Auberg in full bloom, and a mood that is difficult to categorize — somewhere between an exhibition opening and a family reunion.

The entrance to the Werkhalle is flanked by sculptural vessels made by Domani specifically for this location; the colorful outdoor furniture by Paola Lenti unfolds its effect as a spatial extension of the paintings in the interior. The fresh, jungle-like green of the large trees and solitary shrubs, visible through the floor-to-ceiling industrial windows designed by Steininger Designers, appears like a living picture within a picture.

The Werkhalle - a carefully revitalized production hall, once built by the family's grandfather - welcomed guests with the opening exhibition: Hermann Nitsch - Walküre, realized in cooperation with the Nitsch Foundation. The large-format floor and wall pouring paintings, created in 2021 in the context of the Bayreuth Festival, fill the room with an intensity that needs no explanation. Tones that became colors. Colors that become tones again.

The guests were welcomed by Rita Nitsch, the widow of Hermann Nitsch, who spoke on behalf of the Nitsch Foundation and summarized the connection between her husband's work and this unusual new place - a place that is neither a museum nor a gallery, but something independent: a framework for art in context.
