Breitwieser Natural Stones, Tulln

Stone or plant?
At Kramer and Kramer, we deliberately don’t ask that question.
We think of spaces holistically – as the interplay of material, structure, and vegetation. Our long-standing partnership with Breitwieser Natural Stones is built on mutual trust and a shared understanding of quality. The family-run company based in Tulln stands for natural stone at the highest level – an approach that aligns seamlessly with our philosophy of designing high-quality outdoor spaces.

With over 60,000 m², more than 800 materials, and around 22,000 natural stone slabs, the Stone Gallery in Tulln is one of the most impressive natural stone exhibitions in Austria. This diversity and precision formed the basis for the outdoor facilities developed by Kramer und Kramer – as a spatial translation of material quality into a living landscape.
The design begins at the entrance. Clearly structured planting islands, generous hydrangea areas, sculpturally cut yews, and selected unique solitary trees create a powerful yet calm atmosphere. Evergreen elements provide structure and durability, while seasonal flowers add targeted accents.
The central element of the complex is the high-quality courtyard. Lush planting areas, striking solitary trees, and a precise interplay of heights, textures, and leaf structures create an outdoor space of timeless elegance. A place where materials, plants, and space are in balance.
